About EndTrap · · ·
The group was founded in the late 1980s to protect Vermont pets, and all animals, from cruel and indiscriminate body-gripping (leghold, foothold and conibear) traps. Last year more than 30,000 animals were caught, tortured and killed for fur and sport in Vermont using body-gripping (steel jaw leghold, foothold and conibear) traps by approximately 500 licensed trappers. Included were dogs, cats, birds, endangered species (lynx, martens, eagles, mountain lions) and other "throw away" animals. We are a non-profit organization made up of caring animal lovers, like you, who want to stop this needless suffering and torture in Vermont. EndTrap's ongoing projects and programs include:
